The Endowment Fund was established in 2007 to provide members and friends the opportunity to make charitable gifts to New Covenant United Methodist Church that will become a permanent endowment for financial support long into the future.
The Endowment Fund, consisting of your planned gifts, says that your church believes in its future, desires to build a sense of permanence, wishes to be guided in stewardship by the belief that all we have is from God and wants to create a legacy for future generations.

Planned Gifts

Gifts to the Endowment Fund can be given in memory of a loved one, friend or in honor of someone special, whether living or deceased.  Your planned gifts to the general Endowment Fund will provide supplemental financial help to enhance and continue ministries, services, missions, facilities and secure the financial future of our church.  A planned gift typically comes from accumulated assets rather than annual income and can be an once-in-a-lifetime gift.  Planned gift giving to the Endowment Fund is invested to help ensure the church can continue its ministry and mission beyond our lifetime. Some gifts to the Endowment Fund require advanced planning and donors should seek the advice of an attorney, financial’ advisor or tax advisor before making a gift.

Gifts are not limited. Some examples are:

  • Outright Gifts
  • Deferred Gifts
  • Cash
  • Publicly Traded Securities Closely Held Securities Real Property
  • Tangible Personal Property
  • Bequests
  • Revocable Living Trusts Life Estate Gifts
  • Gift Annuities
  • Life Insurance Policies

Gift Annuity

One way to give to our Endowment Fund is to give a gift annuity. You can earn over five percent, partially tax-free, for the rest of your life. You can also deduct the entire cost of the endowment the year you give it. It’s a win-win situation that helps you and the cause of Christ.
